2016-17 AGO Examination Dates

If you are interested in taking any of the professional certification exams, contact the for mentor recommendations.

Service Playing Certificate:
October 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017

Colleague:
November 14, 2016; May 12, 2017; November 17, 2017

Choir Master:
May 24, 2017 (morning and afternoon)

Associateship:
May 25 and 26, 2017
(paperwork section both mornings; organ playing one of the afternoons)

Fellowship:
May 25 and 26, 2017
(paperwork section both mornings; organ playing one of the afternoons)
(Note: May 25 is Ascension Thursday)

BYU Organ Workshop

This workshop is held each August on the Provo, Utah, campus. As quoted from their website, "Whether you use your organ skills to play for your own enjoyment, for church service, or for teaching, here’s an organ-specific workshop to help you develop or enhance your playing skills." Several Chapter members have attended in years past and have expressed their amazement at how much they learn each time they go. The New LDS Organist
An online training program for LDS organists, or anyone else new to the organ. This free course of twelve lessons is designed to help pianists adapt their skills to the organ as soon as possible.
